Default e4 on freeview? (it's listed on DigiGuide!)

Hi all,

I know this subject has almost certainly been done to death already, but I
noticed today that DigiGuide (www.digiguide.co.uk) has a new channel listed
as "E4 (Digital Terrestrial)" Although my Pace box doesn't show the
channel yet, it looks as though there may be some new channels in some
areas already?

Anyone with any knowledge as to what is going on here?

Cheers,

Its part of the new Top Up TV package...a sort of cut down ITV Digital.
You pay about £8.00 a month for a subscription to a few more tv channels
(E4 is one, UK Gold another). They are hoping to make money by
'supplementing' Freeview channels with a few more - most of which are
crap.

The E4 placeholder (for TUTV, not Freeview) has appeared on certain
transmitters for testing, but not all yet (mine neither). Presumably
Bloomberg and UK Food will be added at the same time.

DigitalSpy has a lot of info on this.

Ah great.... Maybe - hopefully my Pace with it's card slot will be able to
pick these up then.

Only if it's an ex-ITV/OnDigital box.
Otherwise not.
Mike.

No disrespect whatever to the original poster, but here's a good example of
the customer confusion that Topup tv denied could ever possibly happen (and
that most others, correctly in my opinion, said would happen) as topup tv
jumped upon the Freeview bandwagon.

All the Titsup channels are up and nearly all have something running
on them for me via Crystal Palace.

I thought the Pace DTT adapter had a slot for a cAM on its underside?
