Default Setpal technical support

Has anyone been able to get into the Setpal Technical site in the past
week or so?

The technical site link is from
http://support.setpal.com/

According to
http://www.dtg.org.uk/cgi-bin/download_schedule.pl
there is a new Setpal software download 15/17 March. The technical site
used to give information about these downloads but it appears to have
been broken for the past few weeks.

Does anyone know what is included in the new software build?

I don't know what they are playing at with their site, it sometimes works
but mostly doesn't.
Mike.

The summary of the enhancements are as follows:

User Interface Enhancements
=======================

- Clearer, brighter graphics with coloured buttons in full use
- Many Setpal menus now have direct selection of new features
- Enhanced Now/Next info, now with programme start and end times
- Enhancements to Guide to provide a richer user experience,including
"hot links" to take the user to (or set a timer for) highlighted content.
- Various clarity enhancements to on-screen banners and displays

Timers
======

- Up to 9 timers may be set, either by manual entry, or by pre-loading
from the Guide screen, Now/Next banners, etc.
- Timers are held in non-volatile memory, so survive power removal
- Each timer may be set to repeat daily, weekly or other common patterns
- Each timer can individually elect to enable subtitles (recorded as part
of the video output), MHEG-5 graphics, or no graphics as required

New Features
===========

- SetPal volume control on left/right arrows (not included in idVCR
products)
- User Preferences screens allowing easier access to the most commonly
used features and the introduction of some new features in response to
end user feedback. The options available in these new menus a

-- "Wide 4:3" mode, so a 4:3 TV can show an entire widescreen picture in
a deep letterbox format
-- Optional Guide screen opacity - better clarity for partially-sighted
users
-- Start Easytune/signal scan sequence (same as holding rear panel
button)
-- Time format (12/24 hour mode)
-- Enable Now/Next banner at start of a timer event (allows recorded
material to be easily identified later)
-- Adjustment of RGB level, Audio level, RF output channel
-- Adjustment of timeouts for screen saver and channel digit entry
-- Enable/disable of Digital text
-- Enable/disable of arrow button auto-repeat (non-idVCR products only)
-- Switch of left/right arrow buttons to become volume control or
regional variant selection (non-idVCR products only)

- Support for enhanced remote controls - allowing direct access and
control of newer features such as timer and preferences menus, volume,
channel +/- from a suitably equipped remote control.
