I've going around to a few forums asking for the best advice on how to
take my one svideo output on D*tivo to both my tv and dvd recorder. It is a pain to try to get to the back of my equipment, especially when plugging and unplugging those svideo cables so I was thinking of a distribution center of some sort. I found one with one svideo input and four outputs at Rat Shack but they wanted $45 for the thing. Also, I do not have a receiver with svideo inputs/outputs that I can use for this. I have received several suggestions including buying an svideo "Y" splitter. I could not find one at CC, BB or Rat Shack so that tells me there must be something bad about trying to split svideo, but I don't know. I did find such a splitter on the net for like four bucks but I do not want to loose any video quality. Does anyone know if these "Y" splitters work or am I stuck with the $45 powered distribution center? Thanks in advance. MARTY |
