Default Poor ITV, CH4, CH5 signal on Sony IDTV, Good signal on pace box

For over a year i have used a set top pace box (An old on itv digital
box bought cheap). I have now bought a sony 32DX150 idtv. The
ITV,CH4,CH5 channels are breaking up quite badly today through the
IDTV but not using the external (old) set top box. The TV has the
updated v3 software.
The aerial lead is fed directly into the IDTV and the set-top box is
being fed indirectly. The aerial is a pretty large one in the loft.
Analogue signals are fine on alll channels.
Any idea of what could be causing it. The TV was delivered yesterday
and was a replacement for a damaged set (same model) which i had up
till the 27th. This original set receievd all the channels fine and
im pretty sure that last night the signals were fine on the new TV.

Anybody else notice similar?

Cheers in advance for any suggestions.

Same here on a Grundig box. It just happens on these channels from time to
time for no apparent reason. Crystal Palace/cheap aerial/'good' signal on
meter.
