This happened with me after one of the software upgrades, a later
upgrade fixed it. Hopefully the next upgrade will fix your problem. (I
believe the latest upgrade is to be re-broadcast on 8 - 12 January).

Is there a list anywhere of the history of bugs fixed / features added in
the various software versions, there is
http://www.riscthis.net/pacetwin/bugs.html but it only lists problems with
the 1.7.55 version, it'd be useful to see what that has fixed from the
factory version.

Thanks, I was hoping it might be something like that - I wouldn't like to make
a recording while I was away and then have the box stay on for a week
cosidering the temperature it runs at!

I shouldn't worry. The blooke at Pace said it was OK to leave it on all the
time.

BTW My box doesn't get very hot, lightly warm

mine too. Its spent half its life sitting on top of a VCR and now sits
in a hifi rack, sharing a shelf with a powered SCART switch. Spose it
might bet hotter if it lived in a TV cabinet etc..
