snip I have a Bush 6690D integrated digital TV that's connected to a Bush model 807 VCR and I've been using OnDigital / Freeview quite happily for a couple of years. I'm thinking of buying a cheap(ish) DVD player this Christmas but I'm not sure of the connectivity issues I need to address. snip Your problem is simplified by the fact that the Bush 6690D doesn't have RGB enabled on its SCART, so there's no pressing reason to connect your DVD player there. An update ... I just took delivery of a Toshibs SD330e DVD player, connected its single scart socket up to the tv's single scart socket, and set the Toshiba's video out option to RGB. The tv's tv standard was already set to RGB (when the other device was the vcr), and everything appears to be working OK. Unless I'm missing something, it looks like RGB is actually enabled on the tv's scart. Now I need to buy a scart switch. Regards, Steve The scart is composite video RGB is only available on the internal scart (connected to the On Digital box) Although you enabled RGB, composite video is still produced from your DVD player. Regards Colin. |
