Default Sony iDTV's - Retuning issue - lost "The Hits" & BBCi services

I have recently lost a number of channels when I retuned my Sony iDTV
(KV28dx30) -- specifically "The Hits" and the BBCi channels 701, 702 &
703...

I understand that other people with Sony iDTV's have experienced the
same thing (something to do with a new Channel 4 text service at a
lower service) but haven't found any information that resolves this
issue.

Is there anything I can do to manually tune to these stations?

Finally -- is this likely to be a manufacturer issue (i.e. Sony) or
the service provider (Freeview)?

Finally, finally, the on screen menu has a "Download Enabled" option
(on/off). Any idea what this means and whether it may help (given that
the TV is not connected to a modem...)

Sounds like a sony problem as this has been mentioned from other people all
with sony IDTVs. Mine does not have the problem however.

The "download enabled" option enables/disables over the air software
updates. Best left set to enabled then if sony release an update to the
problem you mention the set should automatically download it when tuned to a
bbc channel.

I think it enables over air software updates... i.e. the Tv is always
'listening' so if an update becomes available it will download it. the
software is the operating sytem for the Tv rather than Freeview channels.
