Default Free-to-view progs on Astra

I'm about to buy a new tv, it will be one with either terrestial digital
built-in or one with both that and sky tuners (i.e. the Panasonic one). I
don't have a Sky digibox and am unlikely to subscribe to the sevice so my
question is: are there any free-to-air channels on Sky (Astra) other than
the BBC ones which I could get anyway?
In other words, is it worth paying the extra for the Sky facility?

Thanks for any input

Not seen a TV with a 'Sky' Digital Satellite tuner, what model is it?

I believe that LG originally made a Sky IDTV, and that Panasonic may
currently be selling one?

However I also read that these sets may be illegal (or were) under European
law - as all IDTVs should contain CI slots to allow for different CAMs to be
used?

For seven hundred quid, that's not too bad.

I sound like I know what I'm talking about, but don't
be fooled.
