Default Telewest Cable Query - ITV regions

I live in Scotland.. so I receive terrestrial ITV Scotland (otherwise known
as STV)

I'm thinking of getting (telewest) cable.. but I would like to know if I can
get "English" ITV regions via cable?

Thanks

No Why would Telewest waste bandwidth to give an incorrect TV region?

Why is it waisting bandwidth? Quite a few cabel companies show more than one
ITV1 region in certain areas.

You need to ask them quoting your postcode.
NTL give everyone in North East Hampshire the wrong BBC1 (London
instead of South) and a choice of ITV London or Meridian. (Although
as Meridian is on some obscure number in the 800's and London is on
103 virtually no-one knows they can actually receive it!)

Maybe thats because NTL are based in N E Hampshire and their own staff want
to receive London biased channels at their homes....
Although many of the private estates where I know some of their staff live
aren't cabled. :-)
but all the council estates are ...
Does this mean NTL caters for the bottom end of the market?

It's set up in the STB, so you can actually ask them to receive the

correct
regions for you area. I get BBC South & Meridian 101-103, but had to ask
for it.

They keep that quiet! Well worth knowing. Thanks.

They used to receive Meridian analogue off air near Camberley and feed it to
Guildford for tweaking. The picture quality was always poor with hints of
tree induced ghosting on windy days.

As Meridian DTT is not available far east of Hannington I wonder where the
RX aerial is now. Anyone know?
