Touch wood !! - I have had no crashes since the upgrade on Wednesday.

My favourite improvment is the ability to turn it off while it is recording.

Anyone notice any other changes?

It still crashes. Also it doesn't really turn it off when recording. Audio
still comes from the digital output.

rewinding is still broken, often skipping a few minutes or right to the
beginning.

At least I'm not the only one still suffering. I can second all of the

above.

Excellent, didn't knowe that.

Is there a list of 'improvements' anywhere?? I've had a look

unsuccessfully.

It would stop recording if it did!!

Yes, I know that, but my point was that sound still comes from the digital
output, when it is "off" whilst recording.

Guess what? It just crashed!! I was flipping channels, going from BBC2 to
BBC1 and suddenly it died and the only thing on display was the Pace logo.
The gremlins are back and the nightmare is not over.

I am beginning to think there is a hardware fault that causes the crash
because I am sure Pace would have been able to fix such an obvious annoyance
by now. Either that, or they intentionally don't want the box to sell too
well becasue it means quite a few people like myself won't subscribe to
sky(+) and sky is somehow bending their arms.

Whatever the reason, I want a box that works. I am going to send another
email to Pace to request a replacement, refund or a solution to this issue.

Same here, cept it was between channel 4 and itv.
I had to unplug it to get any further, there was no other response even
though the IR signal light was flashing,
When it reset it actually started up on itv.

I think he means to lose the progress information from the archiving, so
that he can play the archive at double speed. I am guessing that he would
try some setting of SP/LP or the like on his video to play it back at
normal speed.

It may be too soon to say, but I am hopeful that the 'missing
recordings' but has been fixed - I've done 27(!) test recordings without
losing one. (Of course it may be waiting for a 'real' recording.)

However I'm still getting momentary picture freezes on playback as
before - the sound continues, and it's a characteristic that if you
rewind and play that bit again the freeze isn't repeated. I've reported
this to Pace.

remove the nospam and alter the 'at' to reply (but you knew that already)

Sorry but I can't see what the problem with that is.
