Default Sky+ value for money?

I see http://www.ordersky.com/ is buggered.

I'm interested in buying Sky+ but just a quick question.

Is it generally thought that the price of the bigger HD Sky+ 160 box is
worth it? £400 for a larger HD sound very steep.

Sky+ for £99 or free for new subscribers (according to the DSG offer that, I
think in error, was presented to me today) seems reasonable for a HD
recorder. £10 a month to use the function is a nasty trade off I can live
with with a bit of resentment.

Aside from Satan's yeast infection (DSG) is there another retailer offering
Sky+ and installation for free to new subscribers?

Gareth.

40 Megabits? Assuming you meant MB, then 40MB that would give enough
space for about 2 minutes of video. I haven't seen a 40MB hard drive for
over 10 years now... ITYM 40GB.

Ooopsie :-)

(Mind you the 40Mb one is *very* cheap :-)

Even my first HD (for Atari ST) was bigger than 40Mb - and I never got
anywhere close to filling it.

Of course, I even remember the ZX81 and the 8 minute cassette tape
loading - ahh, those were the days...

30+ minutes on the C64, and the floppy drive was almost as slow

Remember TRS-80s, Apple IIEs etc. I though they were the dogs gonads
back then, and when I bought my first VIC-20, wow!
