Default I'm cancelling Sky, too expensive for me!

I'm cancelling Sky tomorrow. I've got the full package and it's
representing poor value for money for me at the moment. Nearly everything
on my Sky Plus planner has been recored from channels available on freeview
so I'm going to pay £10 for Sky Plus as it's great! The only programs I'm
going to miss are on Sky One, they a Deadwood (althought the final
episode aired yestersday) and I was just getting into The 4400 but hey,
they're not worth £31 per month. Oh, I forgot about 24 but I might have to
reconsider when the new series starts.

Is there anywhere on the Sky website that lists the channels I'll get with
Freeview? The least expensive option I can find is the Value Pack at
£13.50. There is no mention of Freeview anywhere.

Thanks in advance,

Sonars_UK

FreeSat is different to Freeview on DTT.

On DSAT (Sky) you won't get;

Sky Travel
FTN
UKTV Bright Ideas
Sky Sports News
The Hits
TMF
UKTV History
ABC1

................ as these are Pay-TV on Sky (except ABC1 that isn't available
on DSAT at all)

Simon

PS: You can still use the record facility of the Sky+ recorder, but it's
£10/month.

Hardly surprising as Freeview is a digital terrestrial TV system.
Regards Mike.

You probably mean Freesat.

Remove the viewing card. With Freesat you will get the channels you
can see plus ITV 1 and 2, C4 and C5.

remember that if you are patient, these series will likely appear on a
terrestrial channel at some point in the future anyway

Does the EPG change to only display the channels I can received on Freesat?
Or will I still be able to see all of the channels I'm not paying for?

Regards,

You don't mean freeview

Here is the list

BitTorrent is your friend.

Sky - TV the way they want it: adverts, red dots, DOGs, cuts, big bills.

BitTorrent - TV the way YOU want it: The content, the whole content, and
nothing but the content.

You still have to scroll through all the channels.

Too true, fast and reliable too (I use Burst! Client and it's great).
Any tips on good torrent sites, as everyone seems to have a different
favourite!
