Default sky movies 'loop'

I've been a Sky movie subscriber for a while now and wonder if anyone else
feels frustrated like I do in that the movie channels seem to have a
playlist of movies that are repeated time and time again over a 3/4 monthly
period then dropped in favour of the next batch. The dropped movies though
very rarely seem to get shown again! I remember a whole lot of movies that
were shown in 2003 (and later) that have never been repeated this year. Been
thinking about mailing Sky and suggesting they set aside one movie channel
for movies shown from previous years! not sure if I'd get a response
though..

yep have considered it but I'm getting quite a few movies off the sky movie
channels each month and onto dvd which is saving a lot on buying them from
HMV I guess.. and for the time being kind of justifys the movie subs!

If your doing that, why don't you cancel the movies, and the money you save
put it towards one of those "DVD-thru-the-post" companies. Blockbuster offer
unlimited DVDs per month (3 at a time) for £13.99 per month, so you can have
the most recent movies copied to DVD (inc the extras).

Mailbox movies is a LOT less than that :-)

I've had a couple of *duff* ones but they always send me three or even four
to compensate for the faulty one.
Their new releases are pretty hard to get but good if you need back-ups of
your older OWNED faulty movies (Which seem to appear on Sky with the stupid
voice-over slapper on the end credits)

These companies certainly prove PPV is'nt worth the price Sky ask now.

Download DVDShrink from www.dvdshrink.org. This will shrink down an original
dual-layered DVD so that it will fit on a 4.7gb DVD-R. It will also remove
the Macrovision.

I use CloneDVD, it's about the easiest way in the world to backup DVDs
(with AnyDVD to deal with the copy-protection). Dual layer shrinking to
fit a DVD-R is just about foolproof, and very quick. You can also remove
extras/subtitles/other languages selectively to retain the highest
quality.
