Default Mirror Subscription (again)

I mentioned this in another post, but think it merits a post in its own
right...

If I have a sky box with a full subscription and take out a mirror
subscription on a second box, I understand that they need to be connected to
the same phone number in order for Sky to verify.

In theory, if one box was used at the address of a friend, and one box at my
own home, could we swap boxes (including the cards) say weekly, keeping only
the box at the subscription address plugged into the phone? Or do both
boxes have to be plugged into the same phone line at the same time in order
for Sky to authenticate the verification process?

This is a genuine technical querie, so any spineless, sanctimonius jibes
about fraud from overweight nerds who should know better should be directed
elsewhere to someone who gives a feck.

Otherwise, TIA.

The answer is, no, what you propose will not work. This is to prevent
any work-shy tight-wad fraudsters and thieves from trying to beat the
system.

If you want Sky at your house and your friend's house, you need two
subscriptions. If you want Sky in your front room and your bedroom,
you will save money by using multiroom, because that's what it is
designed for.
