Default Alias - I hope it hasnt 'jumped the shark' - spoilers

Please keep your eye on the ball, JJ!

If you read this article on zap2it.com you can see that even JJ Adams thinks
that the 3rd series of Alias has lost its way:

He promises to fix it in the 4th season.

I love Alias, and overall its been a good third season. But on recent
episodes Ive noticed the quality of the writing getting steadily worse. You
get the impression they are running out of ideas. The number of times Syd
arrives in some obscure part of the world, only for Sark and Lauren to get
there a few seconds later is just becomming embarrassing.

And then, the most recent episode, Ressurection, was just painful to watch.
It had every Alias cliche in the book, and more to boot. Lauren dressed as
Syd, Syd dressed as Lauren, Vaughn getting knifed as hes about to kill
Lauren, Vaughn abseiling from a hospital with a punctured lung and arriving
in some obsure part of the world just in time to save Syd.

Please keep your eye on the ball, JJ!

He hasn't been happy with this last season himself, apparently. He has
just been overseeing it rather than having full involvement. He thinks
season 3 lacked direction and will be taking control again for season 4,
it should revert to similar format to the first two seasons.

despite the fact that I still love this program, something has always
bothered me in this series.

How is it that they seem to know everything about everything...Covenant
activity, Sydneys sister in a prison in wherever, defectors and stuff but
they could find sydney for 2 years??

If you start worrying about the programme's logic you'll stop enjoying
it. Turn off brain, switch on TV, watch Alias, switch off TV, turn
brain back on.

I enjoy the programme as well :-)
