Ok........who is the regulater I should complain to....

Ofcom, the OFT, the DCMS, your local branch of Trading Standards and
the Livingston branch of the same. And always in writing.

this goes on a while and eventually someone says "you arent ex directory are
you?" YUP

so their inability to identify what must be a common problem has cost me 30
quid a month for over 2 year....£720+ !!!!!

Do not waste your time and money on the phone.
Send a registered letter to Sky informing them that failing a full
refund within 15 days of all extra money charged plus compensation for
wasted time and effort and phone calls you will be starting a case in
your local County ("small claims") Court. Point out that your contract
makes no mention of ex-directory numbers.

Be advised that if you do go to court you will certainly win, so don't
be put off.

As you have discovered, Sky have nothing but contempt for their
customers.

Sorry to here mark about your dispute with these arseholes but I think you
will have a good chance of walking on the moon than getting a refund.

Anyone in this position should not hesitate to threaten legal action
and to start this is they don't get a satisfactory refund from Sky. It
only costs a few pounds and in most cases Sky will capitulate before
any hearing.

In common with many other companies Sky rely on the fact that nearly
everyone doesn't bother following things up or invoking their legal
rights.
The management are very unpleasant people whose only interest is
brow-beating their customers and extracting as much money from them as
possible for as little service as possible.
