Test view it connected to a Sky Digibox by RGB scart before parting
with your cash. This will show you what it will look like in everyday
use.

I will feed the FTA channels from a Nexus-S card so as the PC monitor interface
is so good I expect this to be great. It's going to difficult to get Darty to
demo Sky but I guess Canal+ should be similar.

Isn't there an issue with bulb life with these things?

They quote 3-6K hours & it's under 500 Euros for a replacement. I saw a mention
on a French home cinema forum that the Darty extended guarantee includes lamp
replacement so that could be a good option.

Yes. Any DVB box on one of the shopping or God channels will provide a
suitably nasty signal for testing!

As a KESA shareholder (ex-Kingfisher) I am disappointed to learn that
Darty extended warranties might be good value for the consumer.
