Default Sky+ Problem - Why does it only record 2mins of ER?

This is now the 2nd bloody time this has happened. I sit
down to watch ER which is shown every morning on Sky One and
I find out that my bloody Sky+ box only recorded 2 mins of
it!

It is repeated late at night but thats not the point, what
the hell is wrong with this thing. I have a series link
setup and it seems to happen at random.

Perhaps the now and next info was out of sync with the EPG timings,
not uncommon on the BBC channels but never seen it on SKY1 but that
only means the programs I record have not been affected.
It seems to be one of the main "bugs" in the system at least it appears so
from reading the DS forums.
Are you using the AUTO padding option?
That is normally 2 minutes so might be worth an experiment and set the
padding to something different, it could just be a coincidence though

Were you dual recording by any chance? An if so was someone watching one of
the channels being recorded?

If so it's a bug introduced with dual recording.

I wasnt dual recording anything, there's nothing on during
the day that I record, I just record ER so I can watch it
when I come home.

In answer to Mike's questions I presume I am using AUTO
padding, i'll try setting it to something different. In the
meantime, i'm going to set up a series link for the late
night show.

This happened to me a few days ago, I posted a message asking if anyone else
had seen it. In my case I got 1 minute. I'll check my record padding to see
how long it is.
