Default sky+ - No sound?

I have recently got sky+, everything is fine but when I try to record
anything onto tape from the hard drive, all I get is a picture with no
sound, the same thing hapens when viewing sky through the video channel.

I have searched the groups and found something about a bug, but which
apparently will correct itself when you record to tape. But it has not.

I have tried different configurations of scarts, and purches new scarts with
gold connectors & all pins. Still cannot get any sound.

Anyone offer any help?

I have read about a bug which affects the version2 SKY+ units, never had
a problem with my version 1 box.
I was under the impression that this was occurred only when using the COPY
function though but you say it does it all the time when using the VCR scart?

If that is so then perhaps the scart socket is damaged?
You do get audio from the TV scart, RF output, phonos and optical connections?

What exactly do you mean by this last bit? If you mean that you get
picture but no sound when the Sky+ is connected directly from its VCR
scart socket to the TV AV scart input then probably your Sky+ just has
a faulty scart VCR output. It happens.

Have the box changed under warranty.
