Origonally had std. sky install Pace system, started getting lots of no
sat.signal and v.slow menus.
Fitted a Panasonic TUDSB40 and all was good, however after several mnths
started with the no sat.signal msgs frequently.
Have had ariel and cables checked, tried new LNB all to no avail.
Reset sys soooooo many times.
Its getting to the stage when we have to wonder if sky's worth it, before

we
ditch it is there anything else to try?
Am in SE London suburbs, ie no tall buildings

Have you tried a larger dish?

Have you tried another digibox? How about birds roosting on your dish?

Someone bashed the dish? I had to re-find the sat after some building
work.

The interference could come from another house altogether, or indeed
from the street.

New LNB tried, no different, in fact the installer didn't even charge a call
out when he couldn't cure the problem, he also checked cables and alignment.
New digibox tried, improved for a while
No birds/spiders/builders etc involved
Immediate neighbours that have sky not experiencing any probs, so I think
that rules out external interference - we don't have wireless pc
connections -
Haven't tried a larger a disk, but since all neighbours have std sky dish
with no problems, unless I'm in some form of 'space warp' I don't think
it'll make any difference

Hmmm getting dificult.
Move the dish to the other corner of the building, and as high as possible?

About the only thing left is an intermittent cable fault. It could be the
F-plugs at one end or the other. Try a new run of cable from dish to digibox
with new F-connectors. A quick lash up just dropping the wire through an open
window should confirm or deny my hypothesis. Do buy decent cable, you can buy a
50m drum of CT100 from www.satcure.co.uk for 9.95 plus VAT & shipping so it's
not even expensive.

Um, was thinking of moving dish and installing new cable, my wife wasn't
very impressed with original sky install, when they threw the cable over the
roof.
