Default You have to laugh

Cancelled Sky a couple of weeks ago, the Sky operator told me I did not have
anything else to pay them and my Sky TV would end on 15th of July. On the
understanding that I did not have anything else to pay I cancelled the
Direct Debit to Sky. Anyway got a letter from Sky today with a final
settlement, somehow they ended up owing me just under £4, however the
administrative charge for them telling me this is shown on the settlement as
£4. The net result is that I now owe them 0.23p !. So I have had to send a
cheque off today for the princely sum of 23p. They owe me £4 and I end up
owing them money. Don't you just love Sky

Send them an invoice at a cost of £5 saying that the 23p will be sent soon.
See what they say!

I would *not* be happy with an administrative charge. You get your
full £4 back! Cancel the cheque, even if it does cost £8!

I can not really be bothered, they will then probably charge me some sort of
fee for delaying the payment!

£4 is their standard charge for any billing that is not done through a
Direct Debit. When I cancelled and understood no more payments were due I
also cancelled the Direct Debit instruction to Sky. A couple of days later I
received a letter from Sky warning me that any future payments to them would
cost a £4 administration charge because I had cancelled the Direct Debit. I
can not really be bothered to push it. I can not say I am to surpassed by
them though. The cancelling process itself seemed to take ages on the phone.
I kept being put on hold and passed to other people. It took about 20
minutes in total, perhaps they think you will just give up in the end and
stay with them.
