Default Sky options?

Hi All,

I am currently experiencing problems with my sky box.....i keep losing
certain channels and have to hard reset the box. I have been told by the
sky help line that it sounds pretty terminal.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

My options seem to be:-
1. Pay the 60 odd quid to have an engineer round to fix or replace the box
with three months guarantee.
2. Go for Sky+ at £199 for the new box and dish mod with 12 month warranty
and pay extra subscription charge.
2. Pay for a new sky box at £199 with a 12month warranty.

Are there any other cheaper better options open to me?

Cheers in advance
Gary

get the sky plus box, you dont pay the extra subscription if you take any
premium channels, ie movies/sport ...

plus i think theres an option if you book it online to get a second digibox
for free and get it relocated in another room, although the mirror sub for
this does cost a tenner a month i think

get a sky plus under a new account (wifes name or something) get your old
box fixed and let the card become a freeview and relocate the box your self,
theres not that much to it, just a coax from the dish to the box and thats
it

either that or just cancel your sub and im sure you will get a phone call
offering you some deal on a new box
