Same here, can I get a refund from Sky for this month subscription, if
os how do I go about this?

You can certainly try but the problem was caused by the BBC and had
nothing to with SKY or the SKY+ software.
However with no set procedure for refunds it's all in how you can argue
your particular case, paying the £10 yourself (not free with a channel package)
I would have thought was a must to get any chance of a refund and then show
it was a problem with the SKY+ hardware/software not down to incorrect
data supplied by the BBC.

Ring SKY up and then let us know how you get on, there are plenty of people
who will follow in your footsteps if you are successful

No. And it was the BBC's error that led to the problem, not Sky's.

I tried to tape Top Gear BBC2 tonight and it's just not showing in the

Sky+
Planner. No failed recording, start missed - nothing in the planner.

I know it was there because it has put next weeks in via series link. I

know
of two other mates who've had the same thing.

We're in West Yorks by the way.

Anyone else experienced this?

Mine went completely bonkers and was still recording when I went downstairs
for a drink at 1am.... couldn't see owt in the planner and had to just kill
the box 'cause it wouldn't stop or respond to any other commands. Grrr....

Bloody annoying!!

Just a bit.

And who's to say that it wasn't just a fault in the EPG software? Why
do you blame the BBC? They didn't write the softwa Sky did and they
charge the BBC for its use. As such Sky are responsible for making it
work.

What proof do you have of this?

The EPG fault was replicated on BBC 2 Freeview apparently, therefore pointing
to a BBC error. You might get the Beeb to own up. The error should
be recorded on their transmission computer logs. However in that case
Sky would probably say it's got nothing to do with them, and certainly not
issue a refund. Unless of course they could fine the BBC for providing
duff EPG data (which probably is mentioned in the EPG contract).

As I have said elsewhere, the error was also on Freeview. The only
common connection between the two platforms is the Beeb.
They send the same EIT triggers to both EPG servers.

Fair enough, if the error was identical. I don't follow Freeview very
closely given that I will never be able to receive it.

My Tivo takes care of most Sky EPG errors for me anyway. :-)
