Default moving house

a quick question,

I currently have normal sky, as does the house that I'm moving too. As I
understand it, I leave the dish behind but take my box with me?..even if the
new house didn't have sky I'd still have to do the same I think

Theoretically, all I have to do is plug my old box in at the new house and
everything should be normal right?..

I'll probably get sky+ at this stage as I have some cash left over, but I'm
just checking on the procedures for moving house

thanks

You own the dish so it's your choice whether to take it with you or leave
it.

Most people leave it and get Sky to install a new dish at their new house
(£40, fixed price offer for standard installation).

In your case, it's just a question of connect up and away you go
(hopefully).

You own the dish and can take it with you, but it all depends how happy you
are getting up a ladder or not. Given that I wouldn't know which way to
point it if I did take it down and put it up somewhere else. I left it
there.

The house I moved to had a dish in place already that I know used to work,
however you need to be careful when plugging your box in as I think I blew
the LNB when I plugged mine in!

I then paid the £40 to get a new dish (they'll also replace cabling if
required) and they cover it for faults for another 3 months apparently?

MGS
