I have previously taken a 60 cm dish with me to the South of France.
Last year I took a 90cm dish and 0.3db LNB on the basis that all BBC channels would be relocating to a different satelite with a smaller footprint. I soon discovered that others were still happily receiving BBC channels on the smaller 60cm dish. Can someone please bring me upto date. Has the situation changed since last year? I would rather take the 60cm dish with me this summer, tather that load the larger dish into the back of my car. Thanks in advance for any info. V.G. |

In bad weather you will lose the BBC channels early on and this can be avoided by using a larger dish. -- Digibox problem? : A reboot solves 90% of these. Many thanks for that information.
I used my 90cm dish last year and this indicated maximum signal on my Sony Sky receiver. On one occasion however, during a severe thunder storm, I lost all channels (not just the BBC) for several hours. V.G. "Jomtien" wrote in message ... Only the quality reading actually means anything. This should be as high as possible with a minimum of about 40%. On one occasion however, during a severe thunder storm, I lost all channels (not just the BBC) for several hours. That's to be expected. Snow will do the same. The BBC channels will usually go first though as they are weaker in that area. -- Digibox problem? : A reboot solves 90% of these.
