Default Cancelling sky then restarting Sky+ cheaper

Hi
I notice that the installation cost for new subscribers to Sky+ is £1
Existing is £50
Could i cancel my sky account for a month then qualify for a new
installation ?

Just wait, the online offer of a £1 install is likely to crop up
again...Xmas probably.

just phone them and tell them you want it for a quid and won't pay the £50 -
if they say no, close your account there and then. I guarantee they will
give you the £1 jobby rather than see you walk away.

Agreed.

I rang up an complained about poor reception (all blocky), £60 callout
charge they said (after the usual "check the back of the box, switch off for
60 seconds, etc etc etc").
"Okay, I'll cancel and get it with the (then) £10 installation" - "oh you
can't do that, that is only for 'new customers' ".
"Okay, I'll just cancel fullstop" - "we'll send someone out free of
charge..."

Result.
They'd be daft to lose thirty odd quid a month for the sake of £60.
Although there are plenty of other companies that seem to cut of their
nose.....
