Default sky and freeview question

Ive subscribed to sky for about 2 and a half years now but im moving house
and have decided that its not worth the cost for the use i get out of it.
1.How easy is it to cancel?
2.Can I use the sky box to receive free chanels through a tv areial or do I
need a dish fitting on my new house?
3.assuming I can use the sky box,can I subscribe to top up tv and use their
card ?
Cheers
Mike

1. A phone call to 08702 404040 - as subscriptions are paid in advance,
you'll get a refund of whatever part of your payment month remains.

2. No. You need a dish aligned on 28.2ÂșE to receive the FTA channels shown
here - http://www.vowles-home.demon.co.uk/Sat/SkyFTA.htm

3. No. See above.

Sky boxes are satellite only. DTT boxes ("Freeview", 'TopUpTV") are
DTT only.

Not quite right Pedant. You have to give 30days notice to cancel the
contract.

Your card will then be switched to FTV on the 30th day at midnight.

Remember, if this happens after your usual payments dates, you will be
charged pro rata according to your due date.

eg.

If you pay on 1st of minths, and 30th day (when card goes off) is 5th of
month, they will charge you from 1st until 5th.

So remember to have some money in your bank a/c to cover this.
