It's probably a silly question, but why can't you just turn to channel
507?

Curiously all mention of the BBC's Astra 2D transmissions have vanished
from Lyngsat ? (at the time of posting this)

I found that too, although pressing the Astra 2D link at the top opened up;
http://www.lyngsat.com/astra2d.shtml and the BBC's output is listed on
there.

You should find it on 10773 H 22000 5/6 (see
http://www.geocities.com/digitalsatuk/astra2_28e.html )

Two obvious reasons occur

(1) An Irish box probably still doesn't have BBC News 21 at 507
(2) A real FTA receiver certainly doesn't have a "507" to turn to.

In either case, you'll need the proper frequency info.

I've certainly got three digital satellite receivers on or capable of being
on Astra 28.2E which aren't $ky boxes and need the frequency info.

One of the lovely things about using a real receiver is that you can put
the channels at whatever number you want. You also get rid of the red dot.

Possibly the reason they've vanished from the sky package listings is
because they're no longer in a sky package?
