Other channels wiped!

I must have had an upgrade of the sky box. Went to Other`channels today to
get a local ITV channel and all the other channels have gone!
Bloody sky!

Possibly, Sky's original specification for the Sky digibox is the cause but
your experience is not unusual.

It has to be remembered that a Sky digibox (most of which have been given
away by Sky, not bought by consumers) is designed to receive BSkyB, not
'Other Channels' so, naturally, they concentrated their design efforts on
their system.

If you store more than one pages worth of other channels, it does tend to
become unstable. Sky+ is a particularly bad offender- it's a software glitch.
However, the only reason it's there at all is because it's a legal requirement
for the box to be able to pick up non sky FTA channels- Sky will naturally only
give this facility a cursory glance.
