switching subtitles on and off

It seems crazy that the sky remote does not have a shortcut button to switch
subtitles on and off - I used to have NTL digital and one of the coloured
buttons served this purpose. Some of the all-in-one replacement remotes are
advertised as having a macro capability - does anyone know whether this
means that I could set up such a macro which would to go through all the
tedious menus automatically (and quickly) to switch the subtitles on and
off?

It is another *flaw in the slaw* with Sky...Much easier to press TV then
use
your usual 888 subtitles.


I used to do this until I discovered what an improved picture I got by using
RGB input. If you press the TV button the picture goes back to PAL

Why would you need to keep turning the subtitles on and off anyway?

But if you have a macro remote then SERVICES 4 3 DOWN RIGHT DOWN
SELECT SKY will do a toggle.

Just one of many examples. My parents are staying at the moment,
during CSI last night my mum gets a phone call and starts talking very
loudly. A subtitles button would have been _extremely_ handy, there is
no way that I am going to start a family argument over anything as
trivial as TV. Of course if you have no friends or family or insist on
only watching television in a sealed room this will never happen to
you :-)

I would suggest that the yellow button would do the job nicely, but in
the meantime, I have a macro programmed in to the remote which works
fine until anything obscures the line of sight between remote and box.
