Just a quick note to inform you all that Sky have wised up to the free Films
(Sky Movies 2) with Sky Sports World - the famous 1G package, and have pulled it!! Anyone on it can keep it, but the free ride is over! GITS! Simon |

If they have stopped it, it's not reflected by what is STILL shown as being
available on their website (have a look at http://www.sky.com/skycom/upgradeinfo and check out Column 1, Row 7 [which equates to co-ordinates 1G]). That is the '1G' package people have changed to and is Sky Sports 1 & 2 and Sky Movies 2, 4, 6 & 8 for £33 a month. However, you get Sky Sports as a free bonus channel (because you are subscribing to Sky Sports 1 OR 2) and Sky Sports Extra as a free bonus channel (because you are subscribing to Sky Sports 1 AND 2). That has NOT BEEN REMOVED from the website and so it's probably just an awkward Sky operator. Ask for Sky Sports 1 & 2 and Sky Movies 2 instead of calling the package 1G and see what happens - if they argue you can say, "It's on the Upgrade Info page on the Sky.com website - 7th one down in the first column." While they chose not to pay for movie subscriptions they weren't going to turn down the channels when offered for free ![]() Mike C |
