Default WHY the change to "reminders"?

I used to be able to add programmes on the PP as "autoview" without
going to the tv listings, i.e. by cycling around favourite channels,
going forward in time and hitting SELECT a couple of times. Now the
first SELECT button sets the reminder (no autoview) and the 2nd select
cancels it!

Anyone found another method of setting autoview without trawling
through tv listings?
