OK, so is broadband working where it comes into the house? If so, it
sounds like a cable fault with your extension, or maybe the filter. I think its misleading to say that your phone connection is knackered as it isnt, its at most one stretch of extension cable, or a filter, correct? Yes I admit that I was slightly misleading. So is it feasible that the Sky box could have knackered the extension cable? Phil |

Phil Well, I think its very doubtful, as we are just talking about a bit of wire so the only way it could screw that up would be to put a high enough voltage through it to fry it. had it dont that I:m sure the sky box would also have felt the effect.
