Can sky damage your phone line?

OK, so is broadband working where it comes into the house? If so, it
sounds
like a cable fault with your extension, or maybe the filter. I think its
misleading to say that your phone connection is knackered as it isnt, its

at
most one stretch of extension cable, or a filter, correct?


Yes I admit that I was slightly misleading. So is it feasible that the Sky
box could have knackered the extension cable?

Well, I think its very doubtful, as we are just talking about a bit of wire
so the only way it could screw that up would be to put a high enough voltage
through it to fry it. had it dont that I:m sure the sky box would also have
felt the effect. Possibly it could do something to the filter, but I'm
assuming that the filter is OK? So its just a coincidence probably.
