Default Sky Plus scart RGB passthrough DOES IT WORK?

hI

I have a Pace v2 sky plus box - seems to work okay.

I am trying to put a dvd player into the vcr scart so that I can view them
via scart 1 on my tv (the only rgb enabled scart on there)

Is this possible - the screen goes green when i do this - however if i put
the dvd straight into the tv its fine.

It does this with vcd's and dvd's and even divx files i play back through
the dvd player when going through the sky box.

Is it macrovision - if so why does it do it on vcd, xvids etc?

Really confused...............

Dave, Oldham.

Your Sky+ probably has a wiring fault in the RGB passthrough. I've
come across this before on both Sky+ and regular Sky digiboxes. I
don't think that this gets tested in the factory.

It's just possible that wiggling/swapping/replacing the scart lead
will fix it but I doubt it. If not you should get a replacement box.

No. All Sky+ and regular Sky digiboxes (not the minibox) support full
RGB passthrough on scart.

Ah. You can't. The digibox VCR scart has RGB passthrough but only
composite out.

Your original question didn't mention the VCR SCART. In any case there is no
separate setting & according to a post here a day or two ago there is RGB pass
through on the VCR SCART.

Aha, that's where I got confused too. I knew there was someing when it came
to connecting to a DVD Recorder with RGB on this socket.

Thanks,
Graham
