Default I hate DOGS

I hate DOGS.
Given that it appears so do many other people, why are DOGS generally getting
worse, not better?

Because the TV companies don't care what you think.
Their customers are the advertisers (notice the lack of
DOGs during the ads). You are just there to sit quietly
and be advertised at like a good little consumer.

If DOGS alienate viewers, then it is hardly good for advertisers

DOG is an acronym. Popularly thought to be Digital On-screen Graphics but
actually Digital Originated Graphics. The plural should be DOGs.

They never bother me either - I tend to look at the programmes, not the
graphics. But, that said, I loathe Sky News's look, where there's so much
on-screen twaddle that it's reduced the actual image to about half-size.
