Default Live pause problems

Anyone know if there is a fix for the following.
If I live pause for any substantial length of time IE: 30min+ after watching
for a while I get a message on the screen "to watch live TV exit live pause,
to exit press select to cancel press backup" doesn't matter what I do I
loose all the "live pause" buffer therefore missing the end of what ever I
am watching.
:-(

Can't you record what's in the buffer already? Not sure if that's something
that the Sky+ can't do while my TiVo can, but if you can then that's an
option.

The alternative is to ditch Sky+ and get a TiVo

I get that sometimes. ****es me off. I tend to record things instead
of using Live Pause as it does seem a bit buggy.

Maybe this depends on the setting of your live pause / instant rewind
buffer. Presumably if this is only set to 30 minutes it has nowhere to
store the bitstream after storing 30 minutes worth? Bump it up to 60
minutes (how long do you want to pause for anyway?), or use record
instead.

With the latest version of the s/w you can record the live pause buffer.

So....

(1) Just simply press record rather than pause
or
(2) After pressing pause, and you realise you'll be a long time, press
record to record the live pause buffer.

Thats a pain though cos it doesn't start the recording from the moment you
press record - I assume that it records whatever was in the buffer which
means that when you do want to start watching again you have to find the
spot you stopped watching.

Nope - the problem occurs even when you've only paused it for 15 mins.

My apologies!
