Damn Magic Eye!!!!

Each night we go to bed and it's 50/50 if the bloody magic eye will
turn sky over or not! We have a Sony decoder and a splitter but I
can't track the problem. Even when we can't control sky the red led
is still on....

Please please help....

Oh and I have checked the cabling, can't see anything wrong...it's
driving me mad.

Check again and again. The TVLink is very sensitive to poor
connections.

Temporarily remove the splitter so you're directly connected to RF2, see if
that cures the problem. These things aren't happy with splitters, boosters,
amplifiers. You can get bypass kits that'll solve the problem... eg
