Sky+ installation questions

I'm getting Sky+ on Monday and have a few questions.

1. I already have Sky digital, will the engineer replace the
satellite or use the current one?

2. If the engineer does replace the satellite do I have to
take it down the day before, or are they supposed to do it?

3. Do engineers have any idea what a Tivo is? I have this
hooked up and was wondering if they would hook up the Tivo
with Sky+ or am I better off doing it when I come home?

Same question regarding the digisender I have setup.

4. I'm getting a refurbished sky+ (used that offer posted on
here a month ago), how can I tell what model box I am
getting?

5. If Sky+ works out ok, how much is a Tivo without a
subscription worth on Ebay?

He'll use the same ones. (The dish & the one in orbit)
They will either replace the cable with shotgun cable or run an extra length
of single core cable as the + has two tuners. On the dish end, you'll get a
quad LNB if you're having your existing box relocated in the house.

Probably both. If you're merely replacing an old digibox, the sky+ install
shouldn'e affect any of your existing setup (except, possibly, the default
UHF frequency the box will output on may need adjusting)

Before you get it, or after? They're distinctly different. The V1 has a
black card holder/cover, V2 is all silver and smaller.

Will they replace the old sat dish if I take it down? I've
had the same dish/lnb since I had Sky digital over three
years ago.

How much would you accept?

That depends on what it's going for on Ebay. I'm not even
sure that I will sell it yet, I have to wait to see how Sky+
is.

The installer I had knew what Tivo was and set everything up
accordingly.

Thought about selling my Tivo when I got Sky+ six months or so ago.
Still use my Tivo way more than Sky+, I just find it so much more user
friendly, the Sky+ is only used for any DD movies I want to see, or
clashes that the Tivo can't resolve, YMMV.
