Default A-Z Listings...

....what is the point of these? Am I missing something? :-)

90% of what I try to find is never on there! All I ever seem to see are
numerous listings for news programmes and kids programmes that are on the
same time every day. I end up having to manually trawl through the EPG to
find out when the programmes tonight are on.

Tonight for example I want to watch/tape 3 programmes at 10pm - which I know
that I can't. So I wanted to see if any are repeated at another time during
the week. Top Gear was on the listings - but only the programme on tonight.
Shameless is on E4, but only the next episode not a repeat of the first
one - fair enough :-) But Nip and Tuck, which I know is repeated on Sky One
Mix on Friday - is also only showing for tonight. Knowing this is wrong I'm
faced with trawling through to see if in fact Top Gear and/or Shameless are
on at other times - but I'm far too lazy and have settled for watching Top
Gear on terrestial and pouring another drink instead :-)

Does anyone use these at all?

I don't even use the EPG, the search and scan banner, yes, but the EPG -
nope. Use Digiguide www.digiguide.com, best £7 you'll spend this year.

I virtually never use them - far too many screens to flick through, and
that's for just 24 hours programs.

The A-Z listings only cover the next 24 hours.

I do use the A-Z listings to see if I want my Sky+ box to record any
movies.
It could really do with a page up/page down facility though - takes
ages to trawl through them. But still quicker than going through the
EPG for 7 days.

A-Z only goes about 24 hours ahead as far as I remember. (Otherwise
you'd have hundreds of pages of the same thing to scroll through.)
