When this channel first lauched I could rec' with no difficulty. Now I
simply get a message saying "No Signal Rec'd" for this and all the other
channels on this transponder (all other channels OK). Anyone able to
explain the problem?
Thanks

Depends, if it's a problem at your end it's probably a dish/LNB problem.

How long since attention to your dish?

The transponder is on the Eurobird which is at 28.5 degrees east and
your dish is aligned on 28.2 degrees east, then in it self makes a well
aligned dish critical.
It is highly likely that just recently the dish has moved by a fraction of
an inch or the LNB might need a slight adjustment.
Exposing system critical parts to the elements is always risky but you
have very little practical alternative
If the channels on transponder C5 are important enough to you then
if you are under warranty get them out to fix the problem otherwise
it's a call out either from SKY or an independent, you could always
attempt to cure the problem yourself if you are patient and have a
steady hand.

I will bet a small sum that "all" other channels are not OK. I suspect
poor dish alignment and if you check "all" other channels then you
will probably some that also don't work.

I would bet a small sum that his receiver is a Sony S750 like mine. I
too have the same problem only with channels on this transponder. For
a while the problem went away around the time the Golf channel
launched but now it's back. The Sony's performance is rock solid on
all other channels.

My quad LNB also feeds a Humax and a Panasonic DBS30 with absolutely
no problems with any of the channels on this transponder. I've tried
connecting the Sony to the other LNB outputs but the problem only
manifests on the Sony.

I did a search on the net for this problem a few months ago and
someone reckoned that there was something about the way that the
channels on this transponder were multiplexed that didn't agree with
the Sony. Since the problem went away I didn't think any more of it
until it's recent return.

Any other Sony owners out there with this problem?

Mike.

That's possible. It's also possible that he (and you) have some sort
of local microwave interference as this also can upset just one
frequency.
However I'm always inclined to suspect the dish alignment first as it
is the most common source of such problems. It's also the easiest to
put right.

Many thanks for all the replies. You're right I do have a Sony S750, so it
would appear to be the box thats at fault. I assume if I went for Sky + the
problem would be fixed.
