Sky+ won't upgrade my software no matter what

Unplug from mains - hold down standby button on front of machine - with this
button still held innn - put the power back on.

If u r connected by Scart u will c a message updating software. Let me
know...............

powered up and on (but not really doing anything) for 30+ minutes and it
just doesn't seem to want to upgrade at all. I have repeated this process
twice.

What am I doing wrong? Or do I have a crapped out box

thing which I was a bit reluctant to do before since everything I read

Anyway, 10 minutes later and its now on v1.26.v2 (Is this the latest

now?) and I can record 2 channels at the same time.

I guess I will find out if its updating automatically next time they

the software, does someone usually post here if the version changes?
