Default Mirror Sub

Hi I wonder if anyone can help me with a question.

If a friend of mine was to get a 2nd card , supposedly for a second box, I
think it is called a mirror sub or something similar. Is there any range
limits to the card.

I.e. could he have 2 cards but one in his house and one in mine 10 miles
apart?

Please forgive me if this has been asked before.

TIA Paul

This is the reason the Sky T+C insist on having both Sky boxes plugged
into the SAME phone line (land line).

What if both phone lines where set to withhold the number by the operator
(ie. whenever you dial your number is automatically withheld)?

Yes, or prehaps even more seriously fraud. I guess it all ready deoends on
the exact wording of the contract.
I was not actually suggesting that anyone should do this.
