I have a friend who is an employee of BT, and he WASN'T aware of this

Maybe it is only certain categories of BT staff who have been offered this,
making it more exclusive, therefore, why is it so widespread....

A colleague of mine mentioned a similar (actually exactly the same)
promotion he got from a relative. I asked hime if it was through BT
but it wasn't. So it looks like there are several of these going on.

The staff at Sky cannot win can they?
They get slated here for not knowing what to do, and when one does try and
do their job correctly, someone gets annoyed?

And as for complaining, on what grounds?
Someone has given a link/code, from what I can make out was for BT staff.
You don't seem to be BT staff, and yet you complain?

Next time you go shopping in a shop, don't forget to complain when
confronted to pay full-price and complain that you want a staff discount!

Some people....

Well put I agree 100%

Difference is that BT are not staff of Sky !!!!

Go into the same shop and watch as the cashier gives your friend a 50%
discount and not you, even though you've bought the same pair of
shoes...

What does that matter?

Many stores/service provider's do "deals" for discounted services/products.
Where I used to work, we were given discounts at a local restaurant.

Another friend works for FirstBus, and so gets free Bus travel.

It is just a perk of the job, and Sky have chosen BT for this one. Just like
they offer the SkyTalk package......

It is just a fact of life that sometimes, people will get a better deal for
what may seem to some, as an unfair advantage......I have accepted that.

Great post, have now done the same so thanks!

One thing, can some kind sole tell me how tall the digital box is please
as I suspect I shall have to rebuild the cabinet I keep all my hardware
in for it to fit. Would be good if I can do that before it turns up.

with rubber feet) high.
Actual measurements (15" x 9 1/4"
x 3")

To reply, change @freeserve.co.uk -to- @yahoo.com
rant
Made the mistake of believing Freeserve ads 'Use the Internet as often as
you like, any time you like'
What they really mean is once in awhile, but not to often, otherwise you get
a nasty letter from
