Was watching UK Gold and the picture disappeared and screen just went bright
green. The remote was unresponsive and the box wouldn't switch off at the unit - I had to use the mains and do a reset. Is this normal or is this box on the way out? Thanks. |

It usually craps out needing a reset every couple of days although it's the first time it went green - other times I get no signal, picture freezes etc. Tonight for example the listings stopped working and just stayed on "searching for listings" indefinitely. Search and scan works though. Am I being overly worried or this normal behaviour for the amstrad? |

I find that some Amstrad 300 units can produce a green screen once a month or so. A reboot cures it. What you describe is something else. -- Digibox problem? : A reboot solves 90% of these. This is my forth refurb box in two months. For the record, what is normal behaviour in terms of rebooting? Once a week? Once a month? |

I can't remember the last time I had to reset my Panasonic and Grundig regular digiboxes though my V1 Sky+ needs a reset at least once a month. Some Amstrad 300s seem to lock up quite often. -- Digibox problem? : A reboot solves 90% of these.
