Default Jerky Playback

Some of the things recorded on Sky+ are resulting in very jerky playback...
any reason - it seems to make my box reboot as well,

Thanks,

Colin

Your hard disc is cream-crackered.

Your (Maxtor?) hard drive is probably about to die. A full reset may
sort it out though, so it's worth trying.

Does it happen all the time? Mine has done this over the past few days.
Nothing major, but it's a bit like a record jumping.
No particular reason for it and it only started doing it sonce i moved the
Sky+ box back downstairs.

"Houston, we have a problem"

I think the hard drive in my 'week old' sky+ box has broke!

It came up with an error saying it can't record/playback at the moment - had
to phone Sky - they ran me through a housekeeping exercise - but then the
box wouldn't even turn on...

A software download later - and it still wont record,

Do I have any chance of a refund for this month? Or will they say "the £10
you pay is part of a mirror subscription, you don't deserve a refund!"?

The Sky+ sub is free if you have a £30 viewing sub or above. You won't
get a refund of something that you haven't paid for. You could ask for
refund for the viewing sub for your inconvenience and lack of viewing
though.
