Default Sky+ recording two progs question

OK. I had Sky+ installed on 22nd Dec. Brilliant.

The manual says I can record two channels simultaneously. When I try
it I get a message onscreen that I can only record 1 channel at a
time. Is there an update around that I need?

Some have mentioned here a forced update won't work (you'll get the old
software) but recently I had to do one due to my disc recording apparently
nothing!

(Red light stayed on and HD spinning)

I did the usual forced update (unplug box and plug back in whilst holding
back-up on the actual box not the remote) and still got the dual recording
software o-k (About 5 days ago now to be precise)

There will be. You can force an update, not sure how though. Google
it. Once you have forced an upgrade you should be able to record two
things at once.

You can force an update by using these instructions :

Michael

Which worked for me (assuming its the hold backup while switching the power
back on etc) after mine had no interest in downloading the new s/w for a
couple of weeks or so.

OK. I've forced an update and I can record two progs at the same
time. Man, that is good.
