Default Pacelink DotZapper

Anyone got one of these? Do they work in getting shot of the dot? Where
does the unit plug into?

Thanks
Paul

I've heard postive viewpoints from the people who report using these
devices.

I use the SkyEye version which seems to be cheaper and better, at
least for my Tivo.

I have one of these. It plugs into the RF2 and you need to make sure
that this is enabled on the SKY Digibox. It works.

I can see how they work, but don't they effectively disable use of the epg
for autoview and associated timed recording of programs. IE the epg comes up
with the change banner a minute before the program starts but at some time
during that minute the sender will send a backup signal to remove the red
dot and at the same time cancel the autoview? Hence it is impossible to do
unattended recordings with the red dot removed?

Check out the SkyEye range - in particular
http://www.skyeye.force9.co.uk/skyeyev.htm

This is specifically designed to work with the Autoview Personal Planner
function, and ensure your recordings don't have the dreaded red dot.
