Default Sky+ and Dream team

Since the Dual recording upgrade I've had a problem recording Dream
Team on Sky One Sunday evening.

Dream Team is set on Series Link to record, with Keep set as well.
Both times I actually watched it at the same time as recodring.

Both times the programme before (Malcolm in the Middle) started
recording a few minutes to 8.00, presumably due to the padding, which
is set to Automatic. The recording stopped at 8.00 and did not record
Dream Team at all. The planner showed Malcolm in the Middle as part
recorded even though it was not in the planner beforehand.

I have watched other programmes as they have been recording without a
similar problem.

Any ideas why this should happen, and is there an email address at Sky
to report this to - I'm sure telephoning will not have any effect.

"Keep" set *before* a programme is recorded is broken in the new software.
Remove the "keep" from set recordings and all will be fine.

(A "Keep" recording will interrupt any other simultaneous recording -
whether it needs to or not.)

However, as an experiment I've just tried recording Emmerdale through the
EPG with "keep" set, and it seems to have worked fine! I didn't have it on
Series Link, and didn't actually watch it as it came on. Perhaps time for
some more experimenting.

Interesting. Perhaps the ordering of the overlapping recordings also has
an impact? (No, I haven't tried it.
