Default Sky+ New Software Buggy?

Has anyone noticed their Sky+ box getting really buggy in the last week or
so?

I've had the odd problem in the past - with a hard (mains off) reset
required every couple of months or so. This has suddenly become daily.

Box is freezing, not recording programs, claiming 'Clashed' when not, and on
one occassion recording a program that never appeared in the planner
afterwards.

If I could go back to the 'cannot record two programmes simultaneously'
version I would do so.

If you force a software reload you may get your wish.

Most definately yes. Machine shutting down, series links missing recordings
but setting up for the next episode, unable to fast forward without the
picture breaking up. Now no recording and waiting for an engineer.

And tonight it taped 1 minute, yes 1 minute, of Eastenders.

If cut off before even the opening credits and had the cheek to say 'missed
start'. Howl howl bark. I will be a room with cushions for walls before
long.

I wonder if padding (no pun intended) has anything to do with it (starting 3
mins early, finishing 5 minutes after)?

Doesn't that just mean the new software has a sense of taste?

I have had similar problems. I tried to record " Choirboys" on Saturday

( early Sunday morning), all I got was 2 minutes recorded. On Sunday evening
I recorded " Miss Marples " for the wife, it recorded it but then it
vanished a few hours later ( I am not complaining about that).

Could this be similar to my problem with Dream Team mentioned in another
thread? Did you set 'Keep' for this recording?
