Sky + Uprade Samsung SP1203N with V1?

Hi I am thinking of upgrading my V1 Sky + box with a Samsung SP1203N I know
these have been fitted to version 2 Boxes having looked at the Hummer site.
Has anyone fitted one to a version 1 box and if so any tips please.

Samsung drives are good, quiet and have a three year warranty. These
must be good things. However, apart from possible spin-up timeout
issues (5400rpm drives seem to be better than 7200rpm ones for this in
V1 Sky+ units) there is another new issue of software bugs in Sky+
units with large drives fitted. You might care to wait until this
sorts itself out before buying a new drive.
